Rent Rite Equipment

I have been renting from Rent Rite for more than 20 years. They have well maintained equipment, very competitive pricing and great customer service.
When we are doing work outside of our normal scope, they have advice on the best tool for the job. You can't do better than Rent Rite.

I've rented several items this year; Rent Rite was very easy to work with. excellent customer service and follow up.

Rented from these guys too many times to count. They are my go to guys - great equipment, and the pricing is better than almost all competitors. I would tell you the equipment that I love but I'm gonna be selfish so that it's available for me when I need it. Truly one of the items is the best we've ever used anywhere. Anytime we are doing ground work this is in our price because we don't want the job without it. Great service and very friendly staff. All deliver as promised and they'll continue to get my business. Just had a boom lift rental and it was in great condition, delivered and returned as quoted, and even gave me a quick reminder to call it in so not to be charged for extra days over the holiday weekend. Outstanding!

I rented a couple scissors lifts from a competitor & the batteries died within hours. I needed lifts the following weekend as well, so I called Rent Rite and Dan assured me their lifts were very well maintained and would be in top shape. He was right... the Rent Rite lifts lasted twice as long as were in excellent condition, like new. The Rent Rite lifts saved me time & money and Dan and Paul made the process very easy.

Every time we use Rent Rite for our various rental needs it has been nothing but a wonderful experience from the moment we call to place the order to when we return the items. We have used both sides of their service for equipment and also party rental. The equipment is always clean and in good working order. The equipment is ready when we arrive and they are happy to help us load and unload when we come back to return it.

One time, I called on Christmas Eve to pick up another table cloth and additional serving items we needed when some unexpected guests called to join our meal that evening. Immediately Rent Rite insured that they had the items I needed as asked how late they needed to stay open for me to come get them. How great is that? I did immediately go pick up the items to insure that they could get home ASAP.

Everyone is extremely knowledgeable about all of their products and do what it takes to make sure your project or event goes off smoothly.

I can't imagine renting any place else.

Terrible Service, Very Unorganized and Unprofessional.

I called these guys on a Wednesday to rent a skid-steer for Friday or Saturday so that I can clean up 15' tall Mulberry trees that had blown over from a big storm that came through. I had cut up the trees into into smaller 8' pieces with a diameter of about 8" - 12" and they were ready to be moved and thrown into the burn pile.
Since I am the only person responsible to clean up the trees, I need to use heavy machinery such as a skid-loader to get the job done by myself.

After giving them the address to the property and describing my situation they said "no problem" and took my credit card info to hold the equipment and said they'd call back to confirm a delivery time for Friday or Saturday. They then called me back the next day (Thursday) and said they weren't sure if they could rent the equipment to me because I was slightly outside of their delivery range by 5 miles. Paul said he wanted to see if he could juggle some things around and would call me back later that day. Well, Paul never called me back.
I called them the next day which was the day the delivery was supposed to happen and Paul said "Sorry we can't deliver to you." He gave me a bunch of bullshit about how he doesn't think the machine is suitable for my job. Really? The machine was a Bobcat S650 which can handle jobs 3 times my size.

The bottom line is they simply didn't want to make the drive out to my area to satisfy a first time customer. I would have been fine if they needed to charge extra money to travel the 5 miles outside of their delivery area or if they had told me on Wednesday when I first called that I was too far away.
Paul said "it might take over an hour to get there!" This is a big load of crap because their website says "We Deliver Anywhere"

So now it's Friday and I have to try and find somewhere else at the last minute to get a machine to my property.

Do yourself a favor and don't bother calling these clowns. By the looks of the other reviews I can see why people are turned off.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

i threw a party for myself & a friend. it was themed: outside movie theatre. therefore, we decided to rent a popcorn machine & a nacho machine.

my intitial interaction with rent rite was fantastic. the guy on the phone was super knowledgable and had what i need in stock only a few days before my party. i reserved a nacho machine with a pump and a popcorn machine.

a day before my party, the guy called me to let me know that the nacho machine with the pump had already been promised to someone else and that he had a ladeled machine he could give me. this irritated me, but i complied.

rent rite is only open til 5 pm on friday. friday night traffic in the chicago-land area kind of sucks. i had a friend who agreed to meet me here, but who was stuck in traffic. he was running about 20 min late.

I tried explaining this to the guy at the counter and he's like "well - we're not waiting around. we get here at 6:30 and like to get out on time." he had some of the guys wheel my popcorn machine outside by my car and then they all bailed and left me there. i'm not strong enough to get the machine in my car by myself and that area isn't awesome. i waited for my friend and was completely freaked out as less than reputable looking creepers skuled by me one by one on their way to...? i was super thankful that i hadn't been mugged when my friend showed up.

i guess i should be thankful that they even released the equipment to me to begin with.

Art offered me a great machine for cleaning the carpet. Much better than those dinky machines from the hardware or grocery store. The unit I rented came with a floor wand and stair tool all for a reasonable price.

Used them for my chair rental for my wedding ceremony and got a call the morning of the wedding stating they couldn't get into the venue. (Mind you the venue said they confirmed the day before) Once I talked to the driver, I got a call from the office stating they may not be able to deliver them on time. Not a call you want to get the morning of your wedding/event. Needless to say the chairs were there but never got a call back to confirm and they didn't seem very sympathetic of this issue. Wouldn't use them again and wouldn't recommend. Poor customer service.
